New Mex Radio New Year’s Eve House Fiesta

The New Mex Radio New Years Eve House Fiesta will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 10:00 pm. This will be a virtual event featuring Antonio Reyna, Anakaela Trujillo, Lisa Anglada, Ashley & Raquel Grant, Sangre Joven, Gabriella Salazar and headlining the show will be Severo Y Grupo Fuego. This event will be hosted by Jerome Grant.

There is no better way to celebrate and bring in the new year than from comfort of the viewers home.

Participants who watch the show will be eligible to win a signed guitar from all the artists that perform at this event, plus all the production crew. Participants will enter a giveaway contest on our Facebook page and the winner will be picked at the end of the show on New Year’s Day.

The event will feature seven popular award winning New Mexican recording artists and will be hosted by Jerome Grant. The artists featured are Antonio Reyna, Anakaela Trujillo, Lisa Anglada, Ashley & Raquel Grant, Sangre Joven, Gabriella Salazar and headlining the show will be Severo Y Grupo Fuego.

Here is some information about each of the featured artists.

Anakaela Trujillo

Anakaela, a Taos-born native New Mexican is a multi-genre artist. She began singing at the age of 8 performing in Mariachi. Anakaela has since branched off into singing many types of Latin, R&B, soul, and pop music. At 14, Anakaela started her career early, with her first recorded release, “Dulces Recuerdos” which won her an award for “Rising Star of the Year” at the New Mexico Hispano Music Awards. Since then, she has released her second single “Killing Me Softly with His Song” and is currently working on an album.

Antonio Reyna

International recording artist, Antonio Reyna is one of New Mexico’s most beloved and most awarded Mariachi entertainers.  Celebrating 25 years as an Entertainer, Antonio has won the hearts of fans all across the American Southwest, Pacific Coast and Mexico.  With 6 award winning studio recordings; television appearances, stage performances and hundreds of concerts, Antonio continues to be one of our favorites. 

Lisa Anglada

Lisa M Anglada is a Native to New Mexico, born and raised in Taos, New Mexico. At a very young age she was drawn to music as her Love and Passion for All types of Music began to grow. At the early age of 3 she picked up her first guitar as she began learning how to play and sing, teaching herself a variety of music and songs. At a young age she became a part of a Mariachi Group and now a Recording Artist. She has performed all over the US while being part of “Mariachi El Tigre” from Taos High School and “Mariachi Encantadoras del Rio Grande”; both groups were under the Direction of Mr. Nick Branchal. She has been fortunate enough to open up for Groups such as: A.B. Quintanilla and the Kumbia Kings, Little Joe Y La Familia, Gonzalo, Tobias Rene and Severo Y Grupo Fuego during her Music Career. As a Solo Artist She was nominated in 4 Categories for the 2019 NMHMA’s, she has written music for an Amazon Series, was part of a Project for UNM’s Taos Digital Media Arts and also had the opportunity to be a part of The Taos’ Playing For Change Movement. Music is in her blood as she has a natural talent to play guitar by ear and sing from her heart. Whether playing solo or with various Mariachi Groups, she continues to express her unique rhythm, style and sound of Music.

Ashley & Raquel Grant

Ashley and Raquel Grant grew up in the small town of Taos, NM. Being the daughters of Jerome and Debbie Grant, they were surrounded by music their entire lives. They have both performed for multiple events including Fiestas in New Mexico and the New Mexico State Fair. Their first single ‘Lo Busque’ featuring Jerome Grant won Duo of the Year at the 2020 New Mexico Hispano Music Awards and their single ‘Que Manera de Perder’ has continued to be on the top charts of several New Mexico radio stations since its release date. They are both currently working on new recordings that will be released in the upcoming year. Ashley and Raquel Grant would like to continue to record and perform music across the southwest.

Gabriella Salazar

Gabriella Salazar, is a 15-year-old, New Mexican recording artist. Gabriella has always had a love for music, but the 3rd grade is when she first started playing and performing. When Gabriella was 11, she recorded and released her first song, ‘Gracias al Sol’, and have since released other songs such as Bandido (2017), En el Cielo (2018), and Adicta (2020). In 2017, at the New Mexico Hispano Music Awards (NMHAA), Gabriella received the ‘Rising Star of the Year’ and ‘Crossover Song of the Year’ awards for ‘Gracias al Sol’. She again received the award for ‘Crossover Song of the Year’ in 2019 for her song ‘En el Cielo.’ Today, she continues to pursue her musical career dreams, finding herself signed to the record label, New Mex Records.

Gabriella is looking forward to making her mark in the Spanish and New Mexican music scene. Her love for Hispanic, Latin music reflects her upbringing, her beautiful culture, and the person she has become today.

Sangre Joven

Sangre Joven, is a very popular band, originated in the Northern New Mexico pueblo de Las Vegas. Their style of  music is performed in el estilo Del Norte de Nuevo Mexico and consists of Rancheras, Cumbias, Corridos, Polkas and Valses traditional to their heritage for centuries.

The band began its musical journey back in 1988 when Lorenzo Miguel Gallegos and brother Daniel Lee Gallegos founded the group. Several other members have attributed the success throughout the last 3 decades. They have received numerous awards throughout the years. Sangre Joven is celebrating 30 Years in The Music Industry with Thousands of Shows & a total of 19 albums combined. Recently Daniel Lee was presented with The 2019 Corazon de Cultura Award in Music by The Hispanic Heritage Committee for his accomplishments with promoting & preserving Hispanic Culture, History and Heritage for 30 years. Sangre Joven’s Goal is to Keep New Mexico Music (Rancheras) alive & Make People Happy with our GOD given Talent!!!! QUE VIVA LA RAZA!!!

Severo Y Grupo Fuego

Celebrating 10 years in 2020, Award winning group Severo y Grupo Fuego bring a high-energy show to every stage they perform on. With the fusion of Mexican and Puerto Rican upbringings, Severo y  Grupo Fuego has had a successful career in the Latin music scene since 2010. Severo y Grupo Fuego brings traditional Latin music to the public while  incorporating their influences to this music genre.  The band includes five members and is made up of  award winning musicians from all over the United  States. Severo y Grupo Fuego has taken the art of  recording and performing Latin music to a whole  new level. With an electrifying high-energy show, award winning versatile musicians, and true professional work ethic,  these qualities make Severo y Grupo Fuego the most sought after band in the Southwest. Their pride, passion,  and drive shine every minute they are on stage.
